Chris Thompson has been a fixture in the Walker County legal community for nearly 15 years. After spending nine years with the Walker County District Attorney’s Office as a trial attorney, overseeing cases big and small, Chris joined our firm. In 2015, he became one of the youngest attorneys to ever be Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Chris is also a full-time faculty member at Sam Houston State University where he teaches Business Law in the College of Business Administration. While at SHSU he has authored several articles that were published in national journals. Chris has tried over one hundred jury trials and has written over twenty-five appellate briefs. His current practice consists of civil cases involving personal injury, breach of contract, real estate issues, and appeals.
Chris is a proud graduate of both Stephen F. Austin State University and St. Mary’s University School of Law. He and his wife Meggan are proud parents to their sons, Jack and Jace. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and tending to his cattle.
