On August 27, 2014, a Texas jury found David Barajas not guilty for the alleged murder of the drunk driver who killed two of his sons.  David Barajas and two of his sons were pushing a truck that had run out of gas down a road near Houston, Texas in December 2012 when a drunk driver plowed into them, killing two of his sons.  The drunk driver was then shot dead at the scene of the crash.  Mr. Barajas was charged with the murder of the drunk driver.

Despite the jury’s verdict, the prosecution believed that Mr. Barajas was the one who killed the drunk driver.  However, the prosecution admitted that the jury did not believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Barajas had committed murder.
